We woke up around 6:30 a.m. just as Harmony of the Seas was easing into port at Cozumel. The sun was already blazing—it was clear it was going to be a hot one.
Morning: Movies, Emails & Breakfast Hunt
We spent a leisurely morning in bed, catching a movie and clearing out emails while the ship docked. Around 9:30 a.m., we headed to Windjammer for breakfast since Hubby wanted to try the omelet station.
Unfortunately, breakfast was a miss for me. They didn’t have the sliced ham I’d liked earlier in the cruise, and finding edible protein proved tricky. The pork sausage was greasy, the bacon burnt, and nothing else looked appealing. I settled for chocolate milk (8 grams of protein), a slice of whole-wheat toast, and some watermelon—not exactly the hearty start I’d hoped for.
After breakfast, we watched a family go all-in on a competitive game of pickleball, then I headed back to the room for some computer work while Rob went ashore to grab tequila and souvenir T-shirts—our stash at home was running low on both counts.

Afternoon: Sea-Day Work Mode
With most guests off the ship, the decks were peaceful. I spent the early afternoon on the balcony, catching up on email and photos for the blog. There’s something about an empty ship in port that feels like having the world’s most luxurious office.
Since the internet upgrades and Starklink, working remotely onboard is easier than ever. Check out our post on how to stay connected on board.
We’re now down to just one night left on the cruise and are ahead of schedule on target to finish our Casino Royale Prime renewal before disembarkation. In fact hubby hit his renewal on Day 4 and I started working toward mine.
Dinner: Izumi Sushi Night
That evening we decided on Izumi Sushi—skipping hibachi this time. As much fun as hibachi can be, it’s just so much food, and we wanted a lighter dinner.
- Starter: Miso soup — not usually my favorite, but this one was surprisingly good.
- Entrée: Philly Rolls and Beef Teriyaki — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned.
- Hubb’s Meal: A mix of sushi rolls and sake, keeping it simple after a hot day ashore.
Overall, Izumi Sushi hit the spot—a balanced, satisfying meal without the post-hibachi food coma.

Casino Report
Since Rob got his Prime already, it was my turn to focus on status. I ended my session down about $100 and 182 points. I’m was ok with that – and felt good with that jump start to my status. The plan is to finish up my prime on our next cruise.
Rob couldn’t resist joining in again and played $80, and promptly lost half of it.
Even with the smaller session, it felt great to relax, sip a drink, and play without pressure now that the Prime goal was already in the bag. He wasted no time taking advantage of his free drink Prime status.
Tomorrow is our final Sea Day before heading back home—a bittersweet ending to an incredible week aboard Harmony of the Seas.
